Meet The Team

Amy Ferguson RVN CertECC

Hello, I’m Amy, the founder of Tailored Pet Care Co. and a passionate advocate for animal welfare and excellence in the pet care industry. With over 13 years of experience in small animal practice as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, I bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to help animal businesses thrive.

Since qualifying as an RVN in 2015, I’ve pursued further professional development, earning a City & Guilds Level 4 Certificate in Veterinary Nursing for Emergency and Critical Care, Level 3 Canine Hydrotherapy Certificate, Level 4 Diploma in Canine Clinical Hydrotherapy , BSAVA Veterinary Nursing Merit Award in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy, and I am a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP) for veterinary medicines. My dedication to learning ensures I stay at the forefront of animal care and welfare standards.

Alongside running Tailored Pet Care Co., I continue to practice as a veterinary nurse at local practices, allowing me to stay connected to the needs and challenges of animal care professionals. I’m also the proud owner of a cattery, doggy day care and hydrotherapy centre, where I’ve seen first-hand the importance of meeting compliance requirements and providing exceptional care for animals.

Through Tailored Pet Care Co., I’ve successfully supported businesses in obtaining a variety of licenses, including cattery, dog daycare, and animal breeding licenses. Additionally, I’ve facilitated successful applications to the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) for the authorisation of premises for the retail supply of POM-VPS and NFA-VPS veterinary medicines by Suitably Qualified Persons (SQPs).

I have also worked with veterinary practices to achieve accreditation through the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Practice Standards Scheme (PSS), which sets rigorous benchmarks for high-quality care and professionalism in veterinary services. My familiarity with this scheme, as well as organisations such as the National Association of Registered Canine Hydrotherapists (NARCH), ensures that I can guide businesses to meet and exceed industry standards with confidence.

Outside of work, I’m a family-focused individual with a love for all things Disney. I understand the balance between professionalism and approachability, and I strive to bring that same warmth and care to every business I support.
